Like many things, both have advantages and disadvantages. In this post, we’ll be talking about the flat roof. There are a couple advantages to having a flat roof.
- The cost. A pitched roof can cost a homeowner almost 20% more than a flat roof.
- Usage. With a pitched roof, you have space for a small attic. However, on a flat roof, it’s basically another floor. You can use it as a sun space. A garden. A pool if you’re really fancy.
- Spacing. A flat roof helps square out your house, while a pitched roof adds a sort of triangle shape to it. Most furniture was not designed for triangled spaces. Additionally, a flat roof leads to a flat ceiling. Who knew!
