While it is highly unlikely that the bulk of Michael will reach Birmingham, it is still possible some of the outer rims of the storm may bring heavy rain to the Cahaba Heights, Mountain Brook, Hoover, Irondale, and Vestavia neighborhoods.
Additionally, hurricane season does not officially end until November 30th. Make sure you and your family are prepared for what advisories authorities may give during any storm. In the event you cannot evacuate, make sure your home is stocked with packaged water and non-perishable foods.
